In a few minutes
The other night, as I was putting my youngest to bed, I decided to mix things up a little. Instead of just telling him a bedtime story and singing his bedtime song, I stretched out on the bed next to him. I figured I could do it there, just as easily as standing next the bed. Besides, he loves to cuddle with his mom. Why can’t I get in on that?
“Da-addy!” he said as I lay down.
“Wow,” I said. “Your bed is super comfy.”
“It will be,” he said.
I looked at him. “Huh?”
“In a few minutes.” He tilted his head at me significantly.
“In a few – you mean when I get off?”
He laughed.
Sheesh. So much for cuddling.
Try shaking hands?
