A Dangerous Kiss
Bedtime is getting to be quite the bizarre occasion.
The other night as I was carrying N to bed, he and his momma decided to blow kisses to each other. Blowing kisses is pretty easy. You kiss the palm of your hand, then blow the kiss off the hand and towards the other person.
In our case, the transaction is made a little more complicated because the recipient of the blown kiss throws out a hand (as if catching a ball), says “caught it!” and then puts the caught kiss to his or her lips.
The other night, N brought a new dimension to this routine. When his momma blew him a kiss, he grabbed his head and said “ow!”
Since I was holding him, I moved him around so I could see where he was grabbing. “What’s wrong little guy?”
He pointed to his right eye, which was squinting, “Eye! Eye! Hurt! Eye!”
“What happened?”
“Kiss. Eye. Hurt. Ow! Ow!”
Apparently, he had missed catching the blown kiss, which had then hit him in the eye.
You have to be careful when blowing kisses. It’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye.
You guys are really in trouble!!!!HAHAHA
