This past week, the fourth grade class at Lawton Elementary was subjected to a “health” film about their bodies. They invited parents to come in and pre-screen it on Monday. Later in the week. they divided the kids and sent the boys to see one film and the girls to another.

The kids, of course, were buzzing about it all week.

I asked my son what he thought of it when he got home from school that afternoon.

“Oh man,” he said. “It had the most annoying song ever.”

Song? In a health film?

“And then it showed a naked man!”

I nodded.

“Close up, I mean like really close up.”

I shook my head. “Blech.”

He nodded. “So inappropriate!”
