Time to Walk The Momma
A quick bit of background info… My wife is currently recovering from open heart surgery. As part of that recovery, she’s supposed to walk. She’s not, however, stable enough to walk herself.
Yesterday, I was out with my youngest son and mentioned that we had to get back to the house. He didn’t want to go back to the house, and instead made the pitch for ice cream.
“No,” I said. “We’ve got to go walk the Momma.”
“You mean you’re going to put her on a leash?”
In the rearview mirror, I could see him desperately trying to hold back the laughs.
“Better not let her hear you say that,” I said.
“Okay.” He nodded seriously. “Just make sure she doesn’t sniff any trees.”
